St Godric's

We are now able to share our report from the recent Catholic Schools Inspection, and we’re delighted to tell you that we achieved an Outstanding grading overall, with every single element of Catholic Life, Religious Education and Collective Worship recognised at the highest level. The inspectors were especially impressed by our children and the everyday life of our school.  They commented on the confidence with which pupils lead worship, the way they engage so thoughtfully in their RE lessons, and how clearly they can talk about their roles in school and the strong sense of belonging they feel here. A comment that really captured the heart of our school described St Godric’s as having ‘a very strong culture of community and togetherness, where all are welcomed and included warmly,’ and that truly reflects who we are. We are incredibly proud of every single child—their joy, kindness, leadership and enthusiasm shone through in every classroom and every act of worship. 

But this report isn’t just about what happens in school. It celebrates our whole community. Our families play such a huge part in this success: your support, encouragement, involvement and passion for our school make such a difference every day. Our parish, our staff and our wider community all help shape the warm, faith-filled environment that the inspectors experienced.

This is our school – special, unique and thriving because of the way we all work together. The Outstanding result reflects the partnership that runs right through St. Godric’s: children, families, parish and staff each playing their part, supporting one another and working with a shared sense of purpose. It’s something we can all feel genuinely proud of, because this outcome truly belongs to every single one of us.
