Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

Applying for a school place if your child has an Education, Health and Care Plan or a Statement of SEN

Children and young people with an Education, Health and Care Plan (or Statement of Special Education Needs) follow a different admission and transfer process for a new school.  Please continue to complete Durham County Council’s parental preference form, as part of the admission process to a new school.  You continue to have a right to request a particular school and this will be considered alongside the information that we have about your child’s special educational needs.  The information would have been provided as part of the Education, Health and Care assessment or following the review meeting.

St. Godric’s Catholic Primary School prides itself in being very inclusive and will endeavour to support every child.

If you have any questions about the SEND Local Offer or the School’s SEND Information Report please contact the school and we will try our best to help you.

Nursery Provision

Our brand new nursery for 3 and 4 year olds is due to open in September 2024.

The closing date for September start is Monday 3rd June.  School will be open Friday 31st May between 10am and 2pm if any parents would like to drop off paper copies of the admissions form.  Although the nursery is not ready yet, parents are more than welcome to tour the school and learn more about the plans for September.

More information about the process of acquiring a nursery place can be found in our Nursery Admissions Policy. To apply for a place, please use the application form below then send it to stgd@stgd.bwcet.com. If you would prefer a paper copy, this can be collected from and returned to the school office. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

There will be a meeting for parents of children starting Nursery in September.  This will take place in the school hall on Tues 25th June at 10am.
